Use of the rainbow flag by the gay community began in 1978 when it first appeared in the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Freedom Day Parade. Borrowing symbolism from the hippie movement and black civil rights groups, San Francisco artist Gilbert Baker designed the rainbow flag in response to a need for a symbol that could be used year after year.
The roof section of this option is printed on IJ180C-10, a 3M™ Controltac™ Graphic Film with Comply™ Adhesive. It is a 2 mil, opaque film used to produce high quality, long-term graphics with ink jet digital printers. The film has pressure-activated adhesive and 3M Comply™ Performance, for easier installation.
The sunroof section of this option is printed on Clear Focus™ one way vision™ perforated film. Please read, My MINI has a sunroof…. on our FAQ page. Professional installation is recommended. Installation guidelines are provided for the installer, and can be previewed on our FAQ page.
All of our printed graphics are protected with an over laminate which provides outdoor graphics with the ultimate line of protection against the elements, including defense against damaging UV rays.
